This kit is a HyperLite exclusive - a complete front & rear lighting kit built to fit the Kawasaki KLX300R.  We have customized and combined 3 great products from some of our favorite vendors to create a full front and rear lighting kit just for the KLX300R.

The headlight is a very bright 4-beam LED style that provides over 3100 Lumens and only draws 30 watts.  The rear light is a compact unit, that bolts on neatly under the stock KLX300R rear fender with an integrated enduro mud flap and a special recessed LED taillight.  Total system draw is approximately 31 watts, which is well within the 90 watts rated DC output provided by the stock Kawasaki charging system.  No coil rewinding or any other modifications are necessary - this kit is guaranteed to be a plug-and-play fit to your stock Kawasaki KLX300R!

Kit includes the following items:
-Baja Designs Black Squadron LED Headlight assembly (light/shell/4x rubber mount straps)
-2x headlight shell white "number plate" decals (optional use - not pre-installed)
-Extension brackets & hardware to offset the headlight assembly forward
-Fused wiring harness with handlebar on/off switch and specific connectors for head & taillights
- Integrated LED taillight and enduro style mud flap with color coded matching connectors to fit lighting harness.  Lens appears clear when off and glows Red with LEDs when on.
-All necessary mounting hardware

This kit is designed to work independently of the Kawasaki electrical system and power button.  The harness is fused and connects to the positive and negative terminals of the 300R battery, providing power to the lights with a switch to mount on the handlebars that will turn the lights on and off.  

This kit fits the 2020+ (2020-2026+) Kawasaki KLX300R off-road models only.

Installation is straightforward, headlight straps onto upper fork legs using largest black extension brackets provided, new wiring harness can be routed along existing stock harness, rear mud flap/taillight bolts onto underside of rear fender (drill 4x 3/16" holes) to mount with stainless hardware provided, all connectors are color coded and keyed.  Printed installation instructions and a harness callout sheet are included for additional details.

Notes - The headlight is very bright but does not offer a high/low beam option, only a very powerful On position, plus Off as well.  The rear taillight is set up to be constantly on, whenever the headlight is on.

There is a 3rd wire coming from the taillight that we don't use and neither does the BD harness, but it is for a brake light feature.  The wire is stubbed-out and the lead is taped back on the taillight harness with no connector on it.  We leave it unused, but some customers may be able to take advantage of it with their own custom brake light wiring.  We offer no support on this feature - only this brief info.

Installation Notes:  We recommend using the two (2) largest black extension brackets provided for the headlight mounting in order to safely clear the OEM electrical components mounted in front of the steering stem area of the frame.  All the hardware needed is also included with the kit.

Important: The lights should be turned off independently of the key switch (using the bar mounted switch provided) whenever the bike is killed or switched off, in order to prevent the battery from being drained over time.
